Dr. Kristine Maggs D.C.

Dr. Maggs is a provider and owner of Active Spine and Sport. She attended the University of Western Ontario for Kinesiology and then went on to National College of Chiropractic in Chicago where she graduated in 1995 and has been in practice for 14 years in Virginia.
As an Active Release Techniques provider, she is full body certified in ART. Dr. Maggs grew up a runner and figure skater and is still an avid runner. She has completed multiple marathons, half Ironman triathlons and 3 full Ironman triathlons. A large portion of her practice is devoted to runners and athletes.
Dr. Maggs has also been practicing acupuncture for 13 years and enjoys the wide range of conditions she has had the pleasure to treat. She finds the combination of chiropractic, ART and acupuncture gives her the ability to reach out to more people.
Dr. Maggs is level 3 medical certified by Titleist Performance Institute (TPI). This allows her to evaluate and rehabilitate movement from a functional position much better than other methods. At the time of this writing, she is one of only 2 providers in Virginia to attain this level of certification.
She has been part of the team of ART doctors at many marathons, triathlons and also at Ironman in Lake Placid where she has provided on-site care for the athletes.
