About Us

runners1When we opened our doors over 15 years ago, we had a goal of treating patients with respect and fairness. In return, our practice grew and we later expanded our practice to include a Gainesville office. We make sure all our chiropractors are kept up to date on the best and cutting edge treatment types to get our patients back in the game as soon as possible.

We specialize in treating runners and various athletes. We are in a unique position of being very well equipped in this area due to our experience of being runners ourselves, our skills in soft tissue treatment techniques and our expertise in performing thorough gait and sport specific biomechanical evaluations,

Over the years, we have established a reputation that has brought many runners in for care, including world class professional runners, many Ironman athletes, top collegiate runners, high school cross country runners2runners and track athletes, ultramarathoners and also a very large number of beginning runners and marathoners.

In addition, our chiropractors experience is soft tissue treatments have led us to being ART providers to the athletes of the REV3 triathlon series, Ironman triathlons, the Suntrust National Marathon, Cherry Blossom 10 miler, GW Parkway Classic and other events.

We have been selected to treat the elite professionals at all REV3 triathlons, the elite runners of the Armed Forces at the Marine Corps Marathon and we also treated the professional triathletes at the ITU World Championships. We provide on-site treatment to runners pre-and post race. Please visit our photos section.

Our chiropractors are avid runners and have completed many marathons, half Ironman distance triathlons and full Ironman distance triathlons. Please see “staff” to the right for more details.

8th Law of Running injuries: Never accept as final the advice of a non-runner.”
Tim Noakes, Running Injuries, 2003, pg 70

One of the most important factors in treating runners is an evaluation of the gait. Whether you use ART, ultrasound, cold laser, rehabilitation or deep tissue massage to treat your running injury, without knowing the root cause of the running problem, you will likely end up injured again. In our offices, we provide a video gait analysis: We videotape the patient running or doing the sport that they are involved in, put the video on a computer and use our software to slow the motion down to properly evaluate the gait or sport. We have been doing this for years and it has proved invaluable. In a great percentage of cases, the problem is remote from where the pain is. Once again, only accept the advice of your provider if they have received a certification in biomechanics/gait analysis.

Types of treatment available:

  • Chiropractic manipulation
  • Active release Techniques
  • Acupuncture
  • Rehabilitation Exercises
  • Video Gait Analysis
  • Massage therapy
  • Electric muscle stimulation/Interferential
  • Ultrasound
  • Hot/cold packs
